*Expenses:* 42.5 som transport / 150 som hotel
I took a city bus and two mashukas (2.5 som each) to leave Dushanbe. From there, I hitchhiked to Kulob. At the hotel, they initially quoted 300 som, but since I arrived late and they likely had no other customers, I negotiated it down to 150 som. The driver who picked me up was stopped by the police a couple of times and had to bribe them. I ended up giving him 35 som but he actually wanted more.
